Don’t miss the great Untitled Town photos below!
Don’t you love it when organizers of a book festival are setting the pace for the entire region with only their second festival? That’s true for Wendy Wimmer Schuchart, Alex Galt and the rest of the Untitled Town Book and Author Festival Board. I was thrilled to venture to Green Bay to join such esteemed authors as:
- R.L. Stine (Goosebumps fame!),
- Roxane Gay (Bad Feminist, Hunger),
- Hillarie Jordan (author of Mudbound. The movie version garnered Oscar nominations for Mary J. Blige for best supporting actress and best original song).
With an opportunity to talk to a small, but attentive and interactive group on advancements in children’s literature, to serving on panels about middle grade fiction and various avenues to publication, I had a ball. The festival featured multiple venues, which added to the fun, by either driving across the downtown Green Bay bridge, or hopping on the trolley, to get to the next session.
The Author Fair was a great time, with children and young adults, all aspiring authors excitedly coming over to buy a copy of my book. I am having great fun introducing audiences all over the state of Wisconsin, Arizona, and abroad in Italy and France to the first in my three-part series. Look for a future post on all the places The Stupendous Adventures of Mighty Marty Hayes has been so far.
